Dermaworks Immaculift Facelift Serum

“If you don’t have wrinkles, you haven’t laughed enough.”
– Phyllis Diller

Wrinkles are an inevitable sign of aging, there is unfortunately no way of getting away from it.  Like a lot of women of my age, I am developing the usual fine lines.  For me, I have what I like to call happy lines; gained from smiling and laughing.  They show the world the best parts of my life.  I also have my resting mum face lines; these are across my forehead due to all of the eyebrow raising I do when my children try to explain why they didn’t do what I just caught them doing!  And lines in between my eyebrows, because our youngest is going through the terrible two’s, need I say anymore?

As much as I intend to grow old as gracefully as possible, if I am able to delay or disguise the process with skincare products, I’ll certainly give them a try!

I was recently sent Dermawork’s Immaculift Instant Facelift Serum to try – a serum that would eliminate my fine lines instantly, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.  My skin would be left looking rejuvenated and refreshed; displaying a more youthful look.

So, who is this for?

This is suitable for anyone whose skin is showing signs of aging – from fine lines to wrinkles.  Skin that looks fatigued and is in need of rejuvenation.   It is also designed to combat eyebags, puffiness, and dark circles.

What is in it?

Ingredients: Aqua, Magnesium Aluminium Silicate, Sodium Silicate, Acetyl Hexapeptide – 8 (Argireline), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexyglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Iron Oxide (Ci77489)

How does it work?

Using extensive research and advanced scientific developments, the serum’s ingredients create an invisible, flexible layer that attaches itself to the base of the fine lines/wrinkles, pulling these up to the surface; which creates skin that looks and feels fresher and smoother.  You will notice a tightening sensation to the skin (this is perfectly comfortable and not painful), this indicates that the serum is working.  The sensation will subside after a short while.  The serum also includes Hexapeptide – 8 (Argireline) in its ingredients list; this helps to deliver long-term anti-aging benefits.

Once applied, the effects are present for up to 8 hours, depending on your skin type and the atmospheric conditions.

Suitable for pregnancy/breastfeeding?

Yes, this product is safe to use during pregnancy or whilst breastfeeding.

How do you use it?

Before applying Immaculift, ensure skin is clean and dry and free from any make-up or moisturiser.  Dispense a small amount of the serum onto a clean finger tip and apply gently.  When applying the serum around the eye area, use long strokes following the shape of the eye.  Be sure not to overwork the serum into the skin.  The serum will dry clear; if too much serum is applied, white residue may appear.  Simply dab the effected area with a damp cotton pad, to remove any excess serum.  Allow the serum to fully dry (approximately 2 minutes), before applying any make-up.

Works well with/avoid using?

If you are planning to wear make-up after applying Immaculift, avoid using oil based make-up products or moisturisers – these will hinder the serum’s ability to work effectively.  For the best effects, use water or mineral based make-up.  When using liquid foundations or concealers; take care not to rub or pull the treated areas.  When you are ready to remove the serum, simply rinse off with warm water.

Are the results visible to see?

Yes, the serum tightens and lifts the skin almost instantly; reducing the signs of aging.  Fine lines and wrinkles will be less pronounced; eyebags, puffiness and dark circles will be reduced.  Skin will look fresher and feel smoother.

Did it work for me?

Yes.  I was somewhat skeptical prior to using the Immaculift serum – it sounded too good to be true.  However, upon using it first time, I noticed a clear difference in my skin almost instantly.  My fine lines were much less pronounced; my skin felt and looked much smoother.  When applying my make-up after allowing the serum to fully dry; my foundation went on smoothly and evenly.

Note – both of these images are completely unedited and unfiltered.  They are also make-up free.  There is a slight difference in lighting due to being sat opposite a window with changing cloud cover outside.

When zooming into both images, you will notice that the lines on my forehead have almost completely disappeared.  The lines around my eyes have reduced.  To demonstrate the effect of applying too much serum, see the top half of the forehead, on the image on the right.  You will notice a small amount of whiteness, this can easily be removed using a damp cotton pad.

What is good about it?

If you’re looking for a non-invasive, Botox free option, this serum is a great alternative.  It is incredibly easy to apply, has instant results and lasts for up to 8 hours.  If you feel you need a further top up, simply add some more serum to the areas that require treatment.
